            It was barely dawn, and Connor was already running for his life. In front of him was Claudia. Behind him was a creature that wanted to eat them both.

Business as usual, really.

            “Deinonychus… Cretaceous… intelligent… pack hunter,” he explained between gasps for air as they raced through the woods. “We’re lucky… there’s only… one of them.”

            Abruptly, Ryan appeared out of nowhere.

            “Duck,” Ryan ordered.

            Connor tackled Claudia to the ground, rather heroically protecting her body with his own, he thought.

            When the gunfire finally stopped, Connor glanced at Claudia. He couldn’t stop grinning.

            “Cool!”

            Claudia just glared at him.

LOL. And Connor is just a magnet for danger as well, anyway, so if she was hanging around with him (for some inexplicable reason!) they were *bound* to be chased by something sooner or later.

That ep is one of my favourites as well. Mainly because of the Nick/Claudia shipper aspects of it, but also because it's just outright fun.

I love those kind of moments from the show, where people end up randomly getting chased by creatures, using imporovised weapons where necessary, and having random heroics.

Connor is worryingly excitable about these sorts of situations. Someone needs to cram a bit of survival instinct into him occasionally. Poor Claudia probably wasn't impressed, though.

Heehee, thanks. I love Connor when he's doing this kind of thing. Like in 2.1 where he gets chased by the raptor, and then complains about the brain freeze from the slushy! He's wonderfully easy to get into random chased-by-creature type situations (from which Ryan can then rescue him and be all heroic *grin*).
