I have to admit, the whole unexpected consequences of soulbonding is one of the prompts I'm looking at and thinking, what the hell do I do with *that*?! And I could have lived without alien abduction, deals with demons, and maybe slaves and branding.

But apart from that... :-)

Slaves... ah, you see just because I haven't mentioned it in a while, you might possibly think I've forgotten about Slave!Becker and his evil father that we haven't seen yet, and all. There could be a nice cuddly flashback to when he became a slave, with all the branding that must have ensued. And then the long-awaited Slave!Becker meets his horrible traitorous family. :D

I must say I'm at a loss for alien abduction (forced mating? Maybe? For experimental purposes?) (Okay, not at a loss then) and deals with demons. I am actually at a loss for that last one. Except Demon BLM could come back... with demon powers, wanting revenge.

Alien abduction I'm thinking might have to be Doctor Who, because pretty much *all* his companions have been abducted by an alien! I sense an opportunity for Rory angst :-)

Demons might be the problematic one. The only fandoms I can see that even vaguely working for are Merlin and Atlantis, and even then they're both more of the 'mythical monsters' type of thing rather than 'demons' as such.

Yes, where is Fifi? She was threatening to have a go at this once the new round started.

Good, point. I think with h/c bingo it's very much open to interpretation and lateral thinking with some of the prompts, so taking 'alien' to mean 'foreign' is certainly possible.

That said, I was vaguely thinking of something for Doctor Who with that one anyway, although I hadn't really got any further than, 'Rory getting introspective and angsting about their lives on the TARDIS, or something', so nothing is set in stone yet.

Lol! Looking at some of those prompts, it's going to be bloody *terrifying* from the point of view of actually writing some of them. Meep!

But like what happened with the first h/c card, it's one of the prompts that I initially looked at and thought, 'wtf do I do with *that*?!' that is the first one to have spawned a little bunny. :-)

So, do you reckon you might be up for getting a card? You said you might when the new round started... :-)

You're right, I did! Wow, is it really that time already?
I completely failed to finish my last Primeval card in the 2 months allowed, and I've only really just got writing again, so I think I'll have to skip it. That makes me sad but there we go. We'll just see how things pan out.

I opened the kittenfic doc and poked it tonight. No actual new words admittedly, but I am trying to work out what to do with the rest of it. I will have to ensure there is adequate cuddling at some point in the fic :-)

Yey! The round ends at the beginning of January 2015, I believe, but I know what a last minute rush the trope bingo turned into with a similar timescale, so I don't want the same to happen with this.

Ha, yes, that is a surprisingly Celeste-safe h/c card! Though I often find it necessary to stay away from slavefic, as people like to use that for sex of dubious consent, or no consent at all. And geez, there are some odd ones on there... You could have the Doctor come and steal Becker or somebody, that totally counts as alien abduction! *g* Good luck! \o/

Yeah, there's no non-con, in fact there's pretty much no sex-related prompts on the card at all (oh, apart from prostitution, of course - oops, forgot about that one!). I may be slightly disappointed about that, lol!

Despite having written some in the past, I'm not actually a huge fan of slavefic, it makes me feel vaguely uncomfortable in a way that I find quite difficult to explain.

But strangely, the one that I really don't want to touch is waterboarding. Unless I suddenly have a desperate urge to try for a blackout, I suspect I will avoid that one.

But I have arena! That surely screams Atlantis semi-naked fighting to everybody, right? :-)

Yes! Yes it does! I don't think I need to remind you how much I enjoy the semi-naked fighting in Atlantis. *g*

Waterboarding is icky. That was actually the square that jumped out at me as the one I'd least want on your card.

I used to think I was fond of slavefic, but I think it's because I had read a couple of fics I liked a great deal early on in my time in fandom before I had figured out what I liked and what I didn't, but yeah, in general I don't really care for it much, excepting a few things like S&S (which I would never have read if it wasn't fred's, lots of Celeste-squicks in that!). Beyond even the noncon aspects of it, I think it just makes me uncomfortable to think of people as property and to use such a horrifying historical truth as entertainment. Or something, IDK.

I know what you mean. I went through a phase of reading loads of slavefic, possibly because a few years ago there was a spate of loads of Primeval slave AUs being posted, back in the days when I tried to read pretty much everything. It wasn't necessarily the noncon aspect, but more the general sense of too much hurt and no possibility of comfort, and the characters that we know and love from canon being so utterly disempowered with no recourse or escape. It's hard to explain, but something like that. So, pretty similar to what you said, I think!

That said, I really enjoy it in the context of a bdsm relationship, because at least there the 'slave' has actually consented to it at some point, and wants to be in that position. Also that kind of fic is usually way more about relationship trust dynamics than it is about the hurt and the sex, which is way more interesting (and hot!). :-)

Yeah, in the context of a BDSM relationship it's completely different. I've read a lot of things that way that I wouldn't ordinarily, because I sort of have a trust kink? I don't know, I'm weird. *g* I even read and enjoyed a Clint/Coulson rape fantasy, which I'm sure you can imagine is NOT my thing, but a well-written BDSM fic takes care with consent, which I appreciate, and I do find the power dynamics in that sort of relationship rather fascinating. Bad BDSM just makes me uncomfortable, but good ones can be fun.
