Philip finally closed the files and sat back, thinking.

Anomalies. Dinosaurs. Rips in time and space. It all sounded like science fiction. But then, that’s what he had spent his life doing – turning science fiction into science fact.

It was a shame that the ARC had lost so many brilliant scientific minds over the years. It seemed that in the latter stages of the project there had been barely any research going on. They were simply reacting to threats, and dealing with them.

Such a waste. And such an opportunity.

He reopened the files, his mind already whirling with ideas.

When you put it like this, all his plans seem sort of reasonable...

At least he actually seemed to be doing some research into the anomalies, which was something that didn't seem to have happened since series 1!

"They were simply reacting to threats, and dealing with them. Such a waste. And such an opportunity."

I never thought I would say this, but I think Philip is right there.

Good look at Philip's thoughts.

He is right! It always annoyed me that they never seemed to be doing any serious research into what the anomalies actually were, and what was causing them.

Great drabble, this seems completely like the sort of reaction Philip would have to first finding out about the anomalies.

Date: 2012-07-13 05:53 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] deinonychus-1.livejournal.com
Yes, he would be fascinated from a science point of view, but also seeing the potential for development and making even more of a name for himself.

Definitely, there's no way he would pass up the chance to work in such a new and exciting area of science and be the first to make new discoveries.
