I like reading them (assuming they're well handled) but it's a very rare occasion that I ever try to write it. I think this fic marks my second ever attempt at it in years of fic writing for a variety of fandoms. This one was kinda scary, because it's the kind of thing that works well if it's done right and just totally falls flat if it isn't.
