It is a good point re military personel vs. civilians, but at the same time, these are Becker's men and he has (presumably) worked with them for at least for a while. At least a *little* reaction would be nice, just to acknowledge that he feels something, even if he is being professional about it.

I'm sure filming budget limits did come into the lack of extras hangng around the ARC, which is understandable. A throwaway line or two to explain it wouldn't go amiss, though, if nothing else to help to maintain suspension of disbelief.
