The house was quiet when Ryan got home. Too quiet.

He found Connor sprawled on the sofa, asleep. Connor’s shirt was covered in flour, and dark powder was in his hair. Ryan sniffed. Cocoa powder?

This did not bode well.

He went to the kitchen, fearing what he might find.

It was spotless. All the surfaces were clean, and a pile of washed bowls and baking accoutrements were stacked neatly on the draining board. A large, messy looking chocolate cake sat proudly on the worktop.

Ryan looked back at the sofa, and wondered what had happened to the real Connor...

I bet Connor used *far* too much butter cream and icing on it, bless him. He'd probably say they were the best bits!
